Doggie Dreams

Good Morning Everyone,

I was dreaming just before I woke up and I thought it would be interesting to get some feedback from you guys out there in doggie bloggy land. Do you dream, too? I know I do. Mom tells me sometimes when I wake up that I was dreamin' for one thing. Do you have several different levels of dreaming? Sometimes I'm really into something I'm dreaming and my paws are moving and I'm breathing really hard and sleep barkin' at something. I must be chasing something because I don't always remember what I'm dreaming. If that goes on too long, Mom sometimes puts her hand on me and brings me up a level. Then I may still be dreaming, but not so deeply. Does that make sense? I dream about chasing things and protecting my humans....stuff like that. A lot of time I'm just running like the wind.

Well, Mom is saying it's time to go back to bed, so I guess I'll close for now. Keep those happy tails waggin'.

Thanks Axel

Thanks for telling me about the danger of grapes! I'll have to find a new special treat. Oh well, I guess that won't be too hard. I know my Mom will read all about the grapes. Wow, I hope I'm ok. Mom told Dad what you said and he already told me, "No more grapes, buddy." They love me a lot.

The rest of my day was pretty calm. Just napping and then Maxie and I decided Mom needed to wake up, so we started barking and playing and jumping up on the bed and wrestling around all over her. She got up, can you believe it?

Well, I am headed to bed for the night. I usually sleep on the pillow next to Mom. Pretty good place. Night, all! Happy Doggie Dreams.

Sleepy Time Saturday

Good Afternoon Everyone,

I am just about ready to take my nap with Mom and thought I would check in with the blogs. My crazy Mom forgot to ask to have me linked up to the Dogs With Blogs site and so I'm still here all by my little lonesome. Hope she got it done right this time. You have to keep an eye on her all the time. You know how humans can be...no matter how much we love them!

Today was grape day. Well, that's one of the things I call it. Mom goes to meet my Aunt Kay and they have lunch together and then somehow the car ends up with groceries in it for Mom to bring home. I absolutely LOVE green grapes. Some come home with Mom every week. She will put the bags on the floor to unload and put away and I always always find the right bag. I just wish they'd stop putting them in those plastic bags...they are hard for me to get in to and I usually have to wait for Dad to help me. Maxie likes grapes, too, but Dad has to break the skin on them first or Maxie thinks they're some sort of little toy or something and just plays with them. Sometimes I wonder about his smarts, ya know?

Let me ask you guys something - do you like to watch the dog shows? I love to watch any and all dogs on TV and I like Breed All About It. I also like to watch NASCAR racing. Have you seen the puppy bowl they have on during the Super Bowl? Good TV.

I suppose that I should stop jabbering and let Mom take a nap now. We all like to do that together. I'll get on one side and Maxie gets on the other side of Mom and we snuggle up. It's pretty wonderful to have such a good loving home. I wish every dog in the world had one.

That's all for now! Keep your tails a'waggin!

I'm BACK!!!!

Hello everyone,

It's me, Sammy the WFT! I used to have a blog here and then my Mom got lazy and wouldn't help me, so I quit. Now I'm doing it on my own! I have grown up a bit. If you remember me as I remember some of y
ou, I had just had the joy of having a brother added to our family. His name is Maxie and this is his picture.

If you remember, we were living in a condo with a lot of steep steps and we used to chase each other up and down the steps and have a lot of fun barking and all that good stuff. Well, Mom has gotten older and her arthritis a lot lot worse, so we have moved to a different place. Now we live on one floor and we don't have any steps to play chase on. We are sad about that because we have to make a lot of trips up and down the hall and over the couch and stuff to make up for it. But we have a tiny yard that we're allowed to just go out in. Mom and Dad can just open the door and out we go! Unless it's raining, of course. Neither of us do rain. We don't like to get our paws wet not to mention anything else. Come on now. There are some squirrels that have the audacity to just come marching across the patio. We guard against that, naturally. Always doing our jobs.

I am going to stop for tonight; my paws are not used to this. I hope some of you remember me and will write me again. Night for now.
